How to Get Started with Therapy

Welcome to Mountain Laurel Therapy! To make the new client onboarding process as easy as possible, please follow the steps below.

Schedule a consultation or appointment:

Contact Mountain Laurel Therapy to schedule a free 15-minute consultation or regular appointment.

Complete the new client forms.

Once you’ve scheduled your initial appointment, we will send you a link to complete the new client paperwork and review HIPAA Notice of Privacy statement 

Understand our payment and insurance policy.

Payment of $150 is due at the time of service. We accept cash, checks, credit cards and FSA cards

Mountain Laurel Therapy is an “In Network Provider” for BlueCross/Blue Shield. Necessary documentation can be provided for “Out of Network Provider” coverage.

Please note that all insurance companies require personal information in order to seek reimbursement for mental health care. This can include information like your diagnosis and treatment plan. If you have questions about the pros and cons of filing with your insurance company for mental health coverage, you may discuss those with your therapist. 

Know the cancellation policy.

We understand there are many reasons why appointments must be cancelled. If that’s ever the case, simply notify the office at least 24 hours in advance or you will be required to pay the full cost of the session.
